چکیده

We report from experiments with wireless and mobile computing at the University of Oslo, NORWAY. We have established a wireless Experimental Metropolitan Area Network (WEMAN), based on Mobile IPv6 for mobility and IEEE 802.11 technology for wireless links and access.. WEMAN is a wireless extension of the IPv6 based Internet 2 in Norway, and enables flexible access for nomadic and mobile users. Using Low Noise Amplifiers and antenna diversity, we obtain reliable performance on links longer than 15 km. We have experimented with four alternatives for automatic network configuration for mobile clients and report on initial feasibility and performance results.

Detection of wormhole attacks on IPv6 mobility-based wireless sensor network

New communication networks are composed of multiple heterogeneous types of networks including Internet, mobile networks, and sensor networks. Wireless sensor networks have been applied to various businesses and industries since the last decade. Most sensors have the ability of communication and the requirement of low power consumption. 6LoWPAN (IPv6 over Low Power Wireless Personal Area Network...

Mobility in 6LoWPAN

The IPv6 over Low-Power Wireless Personal Area Networks (6LoWPANs) standard [3] enables heavily restricted IoT devices (such as wireless sensors) to connect to IPv6 networks. It is interesting to investigate how IPv6-based mobility management protocols, such as Mobile IPv6 and Proxy Mobile IPv6 are implemented on wireless sensors using the 6LoWPAN standard. In this paper, we will describe the n...

Neighbor Discovery Optimization for IPv 6 over Low - Power Wireless

The IETF work in IPv6 over Low-power Wireless Personal Area Network (6LoWPAN) defines 6LoWPANs such as IEEE 802.15.4. This and other similar link technologies have limited or no usage of multicast signaling due to energy conservation. In addition, the wireless network may not strictly follow the traditional concept of IP subnets and IP links. IPv6 Neighbor Discovery was not designed for nontran...

Representing a Model for Improving Connectivity and Power Dissipation in Wireless Networks Using Mobile Sensors

Wireless sensor networks are often located in areas where access to them is difficult or dangerous. Today, in wireless sensor networks, cluster-based routing protocols by dividing sensor nodes into distinct clusters and selecting local head-clusters to combine and send information of each cluster to the base station and balanced energy consumption by network nodes, get the best performance ...
